Ringwood Central Activities District Commercial Precinct Plan

Land affected

The Precinct Plan affects land along Maroondah highway bounded by Heatherdale Road to the west, the Bond Street to the north, Mt Dandenong Road to the east and the Belgrave/Lilydale Rail line to the south, excluding land between Ringwood Street, Warrandyte Road, the Ringwood Market and Ringwood Square.

Plan on Exhibition

The Commercial Precinct Plan outlines visionary but realistic built form guidelines on future developments within the area for locals, the community, developers and investors, echoing the future direction for the Ringwood Commercial Precinct. It is proposed that the Precinct Plan be used alongside the existing controls, including the Local Planning Policy Clause 22.07, Ringwood Activity Centre Policy, and schedule 3 to the Design and Development Overlay (DDO3), Council is inviting submissions from the public, prior to determining whether to approve the plans.

Viewing the plans

The plans are available for public inspection from the links below, or free of charge during office hours at the following places:

The Precinct Plan will be on exhibition until Friday 7th August 2009.

How can I be involved?

Submissions about the Precinct Plan must:

  • be made in writing, giving the submitter’s name and address and daytime phone number
  • set out the views on the Precinct Plan that the submitter wishes to be put before Council.
