Risk Management
Maroondah City Council manages risk in a systematic manner using the principles set out in the Australian Standards for risk management AS/NZS 4360:2004. The Policy provides the framework for achieving this and the Strategy details how the policy is implemented.
Nine core risk management standards underpin the risk management policy and strategy:

- Technology and information management
- Assets and security
- Environment
- Product and service delivery
- Ethics and corporate image
- Leadership and corporate governance
- Risk management organisation
Corporate alignment of effective risk management practices is being blended into both strategic and operational decision making processes. A Risk Committee chaired by the Director of Corporate Services monitors risk management across Council. Regular reports are made to the corporate management team and audit committee.
